Are Alienware laptops good?

Are Alienware laptops good? Many people have asked that that’s a question, and the answer is not always simple. Every laptop has pros and cons, and Alienware is no exception.

In this post, we’ll take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly of Alienware laptops so that you can make an informed decision before buying one.

What is an Alienware laptop?

Alienware is a well-known computer manufacturer that makes high-end, sleek laptops for gamers. They are known for their beautiful designs, interesting features, and excellent build quality in their machines. However, if you purchase an Alienware laptop, you have to be prepared to spend both time and money on it because Dell charges premium prices for Alienware products.

Pros:

Alienware is a premier gaming laptop manufacturer with innovative products full of features. If you have the money to purchase one of their laptops, it will most likely last you longer than your average computer because they are designed to be strong and durable. Additionally, many Alienware laptops come with extremely powerful quad-core processors and high-end graphics cards, which means you will get a lot of power for your money.

Cons:

Alienware laptops are not known for their battery life. They typically use powerful components that draw a lot of power quickly, resulting in very low running times on the battery. Additionally, Alienware laptops tend to be expensive, and Alienware does not offer any money-saving deals on their laptops. This means that if you want to buy one, you will most likely have to pay all of the money upfront.

Here are 10 key features you should consider before buying an Alienware laptop:

1. Price & Warranty

If price is not a problem for you, the higher price tag will probably not be an issue. However, if you’re on a budget, it will be wise to compare prices between different brands before making your final decision. Alienware laptops come with standard warranties and include both domestic and international warranty options so that even if you do have to ship your laptop back home, you should receive it within 2-3 weeks.

Warranty: 2 years (in some cases) and 3 or 4 years (if you’ve got money to spare) for an international warranty.

Alienware laptops are the only ones on this list that come with a good choice of exterior colours as well as customizable lighting effects, textures and LED designs

2. Alienware laptop finish options:

magnesium, magnesium Xtreme, steel, leather, carbon fibre

Competitor brands offered the same amount of colour customization at writing. However, Dell may increase or decrease the number of colours available depending on which laptop you’re looking at.

Colours: Black is unarguably the most common colour seen in Alienware laptops. However, you will also find silver and grey Alienware laptops and a variety of other colours ranging from red to blue to pink.

3. Graphics

Alienware laptops come with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M graphic card that is good for gaming on medium settings as long as it’s attached to a monitor or T.V. screen. However, if you’re planning to use your laptop for V.R. gaming, then it may not be powerful enough.

GPU: GTX 860M graphics card with 4GB DDR5 VRAM combined with an Intel Core i7 processor and 16 GB RAM

GPUs: GeForce GTX 960M chip with 2 G.B. video memory combined with an Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processor

GPU: AMD Radeon R9 M470X with 2 G.B. video memory and an Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processor. The GPU also has 4GB GDDR5 dedicated video memory, which is guaranteed to improve the speed of your laptop for virtual reality gaming

4. RAM Type & Size

There are two RAM types: DDR3 and DDR4 (also known as RAMBUS). As of today, Alienware laptops use RAMBUS.

RAM: 2 or 8GB DDR3 or 16 to 32 GB DDR4 (faster)

Competitor brands offer the same amount of memory size options at writing. However, Dell may increase or decrease the number of RAM size options depending on which laptop you’re looking at.

5. Processor Type & Speed

When it comes to processors, there are two types: Intel Core i3 and Intel Core i7.

CPU: Intel Core i3 or Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7

Competitor brands offer the same amount of processor-type options at writing. However, Dell may increase or decrease the number of processor-type options depending on which laptop you’re looking at.

6. H.D. vs FHD vs 4K Display

A lot of people are beginning to seek higher resolution screen options. Do you need it?

There are three different types of displays: H.D. (or FHD or full high definition), 4K, and OLED, which are a little bit more expensive.

Displays: 15.6 inches with an optional touchscreen capability

Display: 15 inches with an optional touchscreen capability

Display: 17 inches with an optional touchscreen capability

7. Touchscreen Capability

Some people love touchscreen capabilities, while others detest them.

Touchscreen: FHD (1920×1080) resolution

Competitor brands do not offer touchscreen capabilities at the time of writing. However, Dell may increase or decrease the number of touchscreen options depending on which laptop you’re looking at.

8. Graphics Port Outputs

What does this mean? Suppose Alienware laptops are the only ones on the list that offer HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) output. In that case, you can use it to connect your wireless controller and play your games without requiring cables.

Graphic Ports: 1 x HDMI, 1 x mini Displayport

Graphics Ports: 2 x Mini DisplayPorts, 1x HDMI

Graphics Ports: 3 x Mini DisplayPorts, 2 x HDMI

9. Optical Drive or No?

If your laptop doesn’t already have one, do you require an optical drive? There are two types of drives available – DVD-RW and Blu-ray. If you want to burn files onto a disc or watch movies, then an optical drive may be something you’ll need.

Optical Drive: 8x SuperMulti DVD burner with dual-layer support

Competitor brands do not offer optical drives at the time of writing. However, Dell may increase or decrease the number of optical drive options depending on which laptop you’re looking at.

9. Ports

Do you need a lot of ports? If so, check out Alienware’s port list to see if it offers any other brands that don’t have.

Ports: Headphone/microphone combo jack, HDMI 2.0 1.4b output, Mini DisplayPort 1.2 output, Thunderbolt 3 over USB Type-C port, 1x USB 3.0 Type-A with PowerShare technology and fast charging capability, 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A ports (standard), Noble lock slot

Are Alienware laptops good for college?

Alienware laptops are good for college students who need to take their laptops from class to class. First of all, they’re durable and well built – so bumps and scrapes from being outside “on campus” won’t hurt them much. Secondly, they have a ton of graphics horsepower.

For any decent Alienware model, you can be assured that the GPU is going to be great for gaming – and you’ll be able to play games like League of Legends or World of Warcraft on high (or possibly even ultra) graphics with absolutely butter-smooth framerates.

Are Alienware laptops good for work?

Alienware laptops are good for work. Alienware was originally a gaming laptop brand but has since branched out into the business world. They offer both ultrabooks and desktop replacement notebooks for people on the go.

Alienware offers high-end yet durable laptops perfect for professionals or gamers who demand more from their machines. They include some of the best features available on the market today.

Are Alienware laptops good for gaming?

The short answer is yes, Alienware laptops are good for gaming. However, the long answer is that they’re probably not as good or well-suited to gaming as other laptops that Alienware doesn’t make.

The reason behind this is that Dell (Alienware’s parent company) has a reputation for using lower-quality parts for their laptops. Dell focuses more on making a laptop that doesn’t look anything like your average run-of-the-mill laptop but instead looks cool and can play games well.

conclusion

Alienware laptops are good, but they aren’t for everyone. If you’re a casual gamer and don’t care so much about the specific parts inside your laptop as long as it plays games decently well, then an Alienware laptop would be fine for you.

However, if you are someone who is very detail-oriented and wants to know exactly what kind of graphics card and RAM they’re getting, Alienware isn’t the company for you.

P.S. I would love it if you could share this article on Facebook or other social media! Thank you 🙂
